We would like to thank all the volunteers that came to our 2022 MLK Day clean-up event. We could not have cleaned up the community without all of your help. This year we had over 100 volunteers cleaning up around the Webster School and the West King St. area. We especially want to thank our partners Learn To Read St. johnsNext Level Family Chiropractic, Bog Brewing Company, Pie in the Sky Community Alliance, St. Gerard Campus, the St. Augustine High School Interact, the Nu Epsilon Sigma Chapter Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.  and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Pi Lambda Chapter.

T-Mobile St. Augustine/Jacksonville brought a team of helpers and so did the National Honors Society at St. Augustine High School as well as the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of St. Augustine.

A special thank you to Ben & Jerry's on Saint George St. and The Donut Experiment on King St. in downtown St. Augustine for providing treats to the clean up participants.

With the help of our partners and everyone who came out, together we picked up more than 100 trash bags and other discarded items, weighing over 1500 pounds. The various items included a car seat, television, grocery cart, electrical tools, and tires.

We want to give a big shout out to Matthew Denny, the Outreach Coordinator on the St. Johns County Public Works Solid Waste Division, who always helps us get rid of the trash at our clean ups. He single-handedly picked up 5 truck loads of trash and hazardous waste, and disposed of it at the proper waste facilities.

We also want to thank those of you who joined us at the silent march in downtown St. Augustine to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement in St. Augustine. This year the West Augustine Nature Society won the award for bringing the most youth to the march.
